Frequently Asked

Questions.

Do you provide therapy in languages other than English?

As a native English speaker, I provide all of my counseling in English.

Are sessions confidential?

I take your privacy seriously. I believe that the counselor and client relationship is very important and one that is established with trust.

Do you accept insurance?

I am a non-BIG registered counselor, so I cannot bill through Dutch healthcare. While I am not currently accepting Dutch health insurance, you may be able to get reimbursed from an international health insurance provider.

What are your fees?

I charge €85 per in person session (50 minutes) and €75 per online/telehealth session (50 minute). Session fees are due at the time of each session. I accept Ideal (bank transfer) or cash.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to change your appointment time and provide sufficient notice, I will do my best to accommodate, with no additional charge. However, full payment of session is required if less than 24 hours of notice is given for a reschedule or cancellation.

What should I expect from our first in person session?

I encourage you to view our first in-person session as a no-strings-attached consultation. We will continue our conversation from the phone so that I can more fully understand the unique concerns that bring you in, and the larger context in which they are occurring. You will have a sense of what it is like to meet with me and how I can be of service. I am happy to answer any questions that you may have at that time about the way I work. If it seems like we are a good fit, then we will proceed with scheduling a weekly or semiweekly appointment.
